Depicts a variety of typical village scenes around the central motif of the tribal "Tarpa" line dance. Colors are created from rice paste, clay and charcoal. Simple geometric and stick figure shapes are the signature Warli style, as practiced for over 2000 years. Warli paintings were traditionally painted on the walls of adobe huts to mark festive occasions. They have only recently become available in the form of paintings shared with the outside world.
