Wheat Penny Date Collection - Uncirculated

The wheat cent hasn't been in circulation since 1958 - it was replaced by the Lincoln Memorial cent in 1959 ... that's 50 years ago. So the days of finding an uncirculated, cherry red roll of wheat cents are slim and nil ... kind of like winning the coin lottery. 50 Coin Uncirculated Collection Over the past few years we've assembled a very limited number of uncirculated wheat cents, and finally have a group to offer as a collection. They are the last 50 Wheat Cents struck by the US Mint. We included them all: the 1941 P& D, the 1942 to 1955 P, D & S, to the 56 to 58 P & D. That's every Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco Mint issue, including the 1 year only 1943 Steel cents. Its the last 50 Wheat Cents struck by the US Mint. Each uncirculated wheatie is encapsulated, and presented in our custom Lincoln Centennial Album. Did you know : Lincoln was the 1st president put on a circulating US coin. The Lincoln Cent is the longest tenured coin in US History ( 1909 to 2010 ) The only US coin made for circulation out of steel was the steel cent in 1943 ... copper was needed for the war effort
