Another nice collectible for your consideration. You are looking on a 1967 Susan Miller Dorsey High School Yearbook with future MLB player Derrel Thomas. This product is for a 1967 Susan Miller Dorsey High School Yearbook (Los Angeles, California), titled "Circle". This was the Sophomore year for Derrel Thomas. Thomas is shown in his Sophomore class yearbook photo (page 136). There is no student index in this book so Thomas may be present in other photographs. I could not find him on any of the sports teams. The yearbook offered in this product is in very good condition. Spine and binding is strong with no problems. There are student or staff signatures or messages written in the book. Former professional baseball player Derrel Osborn Thomas was born January 14, 1951 in Los Angeles, California. The Houston Astros selected Derrel Thomas with the 1st overall pick in the 1969 MLB Amateur Draft. Thomas made his Major League debut on September 14, 1971 and played in Majors for 15 season. Thomas played for the Houston Astros (1971), the San Diego Padres (1972-1974, 1978), the San Francisco Giants (1975-1977), the Los Angeles Dodgers (1979-1983), the Montreal Expos (194), the California Angels (1984) and the Philadelphia Phillies (1985). An outfielder, utility infielder and catcher, Thomas holds the distinction of being one of a few players to have played every position (except pitcher) at least once in his career. Member of the 1981 Los Angeles Dodgers World Series championship team.
