A suitcase from our grandparents' time. It dates back to the mid-20th century. The exact date of manufacture is unknown. An antique suitcase was found in the attic of the house we bought.
The suitcase is made using traditional techniques. It has a wooden frame and plywood walls. The interior is lined with fabric. The exterior appears to be made of imitation leather. The original metal locks still work. The latches slide easily to the edge of the suitcase, and the locks open with a clanking sound.
The handle is comfortable, with a knurled texture. However, some of the metal parts are rusty. There's also some damage on one side of the suitcase.

Of course, suitcases like these aren't practical these days. But they're not necessary. After all, an old suitcase is meant to carry memories, not things.
