DERMODRIN OINTMENT
Cooling antihistamine ointment for application to the skin.
The active substance of Dermodrin, is a tested antihistamine and antiallergic agent, effective against itching and for local relief of pain in allergies and skin diseases. Dermodrin ointment as an emulsion of oil in water has a pleasant cooling effect, thus relieving pain. Additionally, it reduces or prevents allergic skin swelling. Dermodrin ointment is intended for external use only. The flabby, odorless creamy base of this non-irritating ointment rubs off and spreads easily on the skin.
The effect manifests itself soon after the application of the ointment and lasts 2-6 hours.
Places of application
Dermodrin ointment is used against itching, local pain and skin hypersensitivity in:
- allergies
- insect bites
- eczema, urticaria, itchy edges of wounds and abrasions of the skin
- light burns, sunburn
- itchy skin rash after exposure to sunlight (sun allergy).
HOW TO USE DERMODRIN OINTMENT
If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Unless your doctor prescribes otherwise, apply according to the size of the treated area, an amount the size of a cherry to a walnut of Dermodrin ointment (corresponding to 1-3 g) on the affected area of skin. Adults are applied 4 to 6 times a day, children only 4 to 5 times a day.
If you use more Dermodrin ointment than you should: No cases of overdose with Dermodrin ointment have been reported so far. In case of accidental ingestion of Dermodrin ointment, it is necessary to consult your doctor immediately.
If you forget to take Dermodrin ointment:
Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
