This is bootable media and you have to know how to boot from a flash drive on the computer you want to use it with. You will also need to have a separate media or disk that is large enough to backup to.

The flash drive also uses a file system that is not readable from Windows and just because it doesn't appear to have anything other than the EFI folder on it, doesn't mean that it is defective and is not a valid reason to request a return.

The only way to use the software is to boot into Redo Backup from the flash drive as it isn't a program that you can just use in Windows and it doesn't matter what can be seen on the flashdrive in Windows.
