The curvy playfulness of the leaves on the fabric contrast with the top cubed shape and geometric design of this accent lamp. Warm, rich tones make this an excellent piece for a study, den or dining room.
Created by Ernie Mariotto for the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco, this piece was featured at Discarded to Divine 2009, a fundraiser to raise money for the poor and homeless of San Francisco.
Ninety-two cents out of every dollar bid on this garment goes directly towards serving our clients - those suffering from hunger, poverty, homelessness, addiction and domestic violence.
Founded in 1860, the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco provides human services to over 1,000 men, women and children every day through a spectrum of programs. Our mission is to offer hope and service to the poor and suffering on a direct person-to-person basis, working to break the cycles of homelessness, substance abuse and domestic violence.
Our programs include a detox center for homeless and low-income people; a sobriety-oriented affordable single-room occupancy residence; a free clothing- and grocery-distribution program; the city's largest continuum of shelters and services for battered women and their children; and the largest homeless shelter in northern California.
