Beach Plum, Prunus maritima, Shrub Seeds
Hardy, Fast Growth, Showy Spring Flowers, Edible Fruit, Wildlife Food/Shelter, Salt, Wind and Drought Tolerant, Adaptable
Beach Plum is a fruiting shrub native to coastal dunes of the Northeastern United States. It is a dense and rounded deciduous shrub, growing to 6 feet tall or more. Single or double white flowers bloom in mid-spring, maturing to edible 1 inch purple fruit in late summer. Although typically found growing naturally in poor sandy soils, the plants thrive in well-drained fertile soils with a pH of 6–6.5. This plant is abundant in the Cape Cod, Massachusetts area and is very salt tolerant.
For live plants, we can't send them to Alaska and Hawaii. If the order has already been placed, we will cancel it.
