  • Description
Description: Here's a marvelous unused souvenir folder/mailer showing Thomas A. Edison's Winter Home in Fort Myers, Florida. It contains 12 full-color postcard-size illustrations in a double-sided accordion format, along with a brief history of the home, the "first prefabricated house in history".

Featured views include: Living Room; Dining Room; Drawing Room; The Edison Bedroom; Chemical Laboratory; Laboratory Office; Edison's Model "T" Ford, Given Him by Henry Ford; Banyan Tree; Kigelia Pnnata (Sausage Tree); Edison's Portland Cement Swimming Pool; Avenue of Palms, Planted by Mr. Edison in 1901; Moreton Bay Fig.

The folder indicates it was published Edison Winter Home, Ft. Myers.

Size: approx. 4" x 6" (closed)

Date: Not explicitly dated, but I believe it's from the late 1970s.

Condition: Fine, I'd say. The folder is clean, with no discernible wear, but the top edge appears to have been squeezed somewhat, perhaps from some sort of display gripper at the original point of sale.

**NOTE**: Shipping charges are discounted when more than one of my items are purchased at the same time. See what else I have to offer!
