We only ship bare root plants. They do not come in a container. Bare root plants need to be planted within 2-3 days of receiving unless weather-related problems prohibit planting. Store in a cool place and keep roots moist and covered with plastic until they can be planted. Water for the first week daily after planting.

Black Cohosh
The cohosh plant is grown from a rhizome or tuber rather than seeds or bulbs. It will display a beautiful white bloom in the spring and early summer months, with a spiked appearance. The blooms on this plant are made up of many smaller flowers. The leaves are light, delicate green, and the stems of the flowers are pretty long and healthy enough to hold beautiful blooms. The plant requires little care and will be very easy to maintain.
