Based on an award-winning documentary of the same name (see below), this CD-ROM divides the Normandy Invasion into almost 20 "chapters," each dealing with a separate stage or aspect of Operation Overlord. A dozen chapters can be viewed one after another in a documentary-like "autopilot" tour lasting approximately 30 minutes and consisting of narrated photograph and video sequences. Each chapter tour can be stopped for reading through associated articles, biographical profiles, and personal documents and for listening to audio recordings. Access also can be gained to articles through a main menu and an index.
