Oil on canvas
This insightful piece by award winning artist, Daniel Taylor takes a look at the stories that go beneath the cold stones in a National Cemetery. We start with the dawn of a new day and then slip below the surface to see how the mighty oak watches and protects those below. We follow the roots through the cold soil to a place where the warmth of home can be felt on the symbols of service including the medal which bears silent witness to the scene above. This piece attempts to make no statement other than as a reminder that freedom is not free and some pay the ultimate price.
This painting awaits your frame to add thoughtful introspection to an honored wall in your home or office.
