1950s CHICAGO, Illinois Postcard - Chicago River Bridges
Here's a very nice vintage unused postcard from Chicago featuring an aerial view of the Chicago River with a couple of its many bridges in operation.
The description on the back reads:
CK-132--GREATER CHICAGO
the City of Beautiful Bridges which span the Chicago River at the site of Old Fort Dearborn. Wacker Drive extends along the river thru the length of the Business District.
The card is identified as being a "CURTEICHCOLOR" REPRODUCTION FROM KODACHROME OR EKTACHROME ORIGINAL. It was put out by AERO DISTRIBUTORS, INC., of Chicago, and bears the code 3C-K1171.
Size: approx. 3½" x 5½"
Date: Not specifically dated, but the code appears to be a Curt Teich number for 1953.
Condition: Excellent, I'd say, with only minimal soiling and edge wear. (Please see scans.)
MULTIPLE ITEM SHIPPING DISCOUNT: I will ship up to 4 cards for the single base shipping charge shown. For purchases of more than 4 cards, the shipping charge will increase by just a small increment for every 4 additional cards.
