Which Version of Windows do I Have?Press the Start button (usually shown as four squares), then click on Control Panel, then click on System. You should see "System type:" and either 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) (see picture above in white).

Alternative:
Open command prompt window (cmd.exe) and type "echo %processor_architecture%" If your Windows version is 64-bit you will see 64, else you will see 86 or 32 for 32-bit versions (example picture above in black).

If You Still Don't Know Your Windows Version:
If your computer was purchased prior to 2000, it's most likely 32-bit. If you purchased a new computer recently, within the last few years, it's 64-bit.
