On its 2007 debut for Gearhead Records, Black Tie Revue presents a short and sweet set of hip, carefree post-Strokes punk rock. Clearly influenced by both power-pop and New Wave, the Pittsburgh-based act, fronted by singer/guitarist Anthony Badamo, often brings to mind an edgier Fountains of Wayne, particularly on the energetic "Red Everywhere" and the swaggering "Call Waiting."
