Remember when Linux was sleek and powerful and only required one CD to load the entire Operating System?
Get reintroduced to Linux Mandrake 7.0! Linux Mandrake 7.0 was originally released in 1999 back when Windows 98 was Microsoft's current release. I used to love using these old versions when LAMP (Linux, Apache, Mysql, and PHP) was a standard install if one selected a server install from the install options.
This is a manufactured CD that the Linux Mall marketed back in the late 1990's. I bought a boatload of these CD's, among other flavors of Linux, and resold them on eBay before broadband ISP's were the standard for obtaining images of Linux. While clearing out some space in the vasts store rooms of Decomputing Enterprises I rediscovered a collection of these long forgotten Linux CD's that I had left over from my earlier sales. So, I dusted them off and decided to re-list them for nostalgic purposes. Go get that old windows 98 PC that you have tucked away in the closet and pick up one of these CD's and relive the past with me. Don't worry, there is tons of documentation and HOWTO's loaded on the CD. You'll be up and running in no time.
System requirements is pretty minimal for this install:
128 mgs ram
2 gig hard drive
