Simplicity Sewing Patterns for Dummies 5729 Pattern: Shorts with side slits can be decorated with words/initials and/or the various shaped appliques of your choice using the alphabet and appliques included with the pattern. All are applied with matching or contrasting zigzag stitching. Purchased appliques are another decoration optional. A Shorts with applied elastic can be rolled to outside to show the elastic that you can decorate with paint or hand stamped words and designs of your choice. B Shorts have a self fabric casing with elastic and a shoelace drawstring through buttonhole openings. Casing can be rolled to outside for a cuffed look. Dated 2002


Sizes: Child's XS to L Waist 20 1/2 to 25 1/2, Hips 24 to 32
Misses XS to XL = waist 23 to 39, hips 32 1/2 to 48
Pattern = uncut with instructions,
Envelope = In good shape, wrinkled, see photo
