Publisher: Sterling Publishing, NY 1982, ISBN: 0806976608. Oversize paperback, 10 1/4" x 8 1/4". Very good condition, minor cover wear and very light soiling on cover. Pages are clean & tight, with no markings. There are a couple of small stains inside back cover. 160 pages. Heavily illustrated.
....Because there is no single way to make a decoy, you'll see a wide range of tools and techniques. Amazingly realistic results are achieved using sophisticated and elaborate equipment, while, at the same time, excellent work can be done by hand-holding a block of wood and carving with a sharp pocketknife. In between the extremes is a wealth of information on the various species of wood used, shaping techniques, finishing, and descriptions of the different waterfowl which decoys can imitate....
