HTML clipboard HTML clipboard FRENCH ART DECOCOFFEE TABLE CUBIST QUINETMadein the early 1950's in France this piece has a distinctive 3 legs motive which is reminding of Jacques Quinet. It was said about French Art deco that : ...the absence of ornaments are replaced with the choice of magnificent materiel and outstanding proportion ... Most likely it is one of a kind because suchdetails were rarely mass produced .It is difficult to find table which have the high of contemporary coffee table because they did not really use them , TV was just invented so it did not make sense to have a center table in front of a sofa. The detailing is indicative of a goodprovenance ,the mounting of the legs is something you do not find anymore in ourcost saving era . I posted one of the reference picture below .Size H.24 x D.26 . some foxing on the mirror , scratches on the glass , wood ebony of macassar legs in good condition. Itake credit card and American Express, the transaction will go throught my store.I guaranty my Antiques to be original, shipping will be done by truck or UPSdepending on size. After the product ends you need to contact me directly at [email protected] use the eCRATER link to Email me. You can also call me at the store 310 5506726.I expect to be paid within 8 days so if you cannot do it please do notbuy. CAUTION : I sell antiques soexpect a normal tear and wear to show even if all my pieces are refinished andconsidered in perfect antique condition .Californian resident to pay sale tax. This table was on board of the Pasteur a liner of the CGM which was cruising to South America from 1966 to 1972.The table pictured is more modern with a metal frame but the structure are the same , in the reference book from Maldonado edition de L'amateur I found more example where you can clearly see the detail of the connection and design which are the same .There a second shelve on the one I offered but underneath there is the same connecting center , the curved end of the legs are also a trademark of his work. I think this table is from the late 1940's .HTML clipboardTo respect the new rule concerning Link I put a link at the bottom which bring you to "About me " where you can find more information on French Art Deco and French Antiques .This is not an offer to sell outside of eCRATER site.
