Ribbon Evening jacket black ribbon jacket coat Fur collar Vintage 1950s 1960s #112
Fab, Fab, Fab is this lovely ribbon jacket from the 1950s or 1960s.The scalloped fur and scalloped hem of the jacket sets it apart. It's short, 3/4 length sleeves, has a furrier's hook in the front for closure, and has the most marvelous plush soft fur collar in the world. Plus, it is a detachable collar. You can transfer this fur beauty to another coat or jacket whatever fits your fancy. The coat is shown with and without the collar. It is a clash or marriage of goth and class with the snaps showing. The black ribbon looks elegant and distinctive. If worn with the snaps showing, that is is a complete contrast and unusual. So I suppose you could wear it as it was meant with an evening gown or dress or wear it with jeans or a skirt to make a totally different statement. The lining is an immaculate silk brocade. It's as pretty as the outside woven ribbon. The label is a work of art too. Whichever way you choose to wear it, this is a delightfully fabulous coat or jacket!
Manufacturer, brand, or store where sold: Paul Freed, New York & Miami Beach
Bust or Chest: 44"
Waist: 44"
Length: 20"
Shoulder to Shoulder 17"
Sleeve: 17"
FLAWS OR DEFECTS: I see nothing that in any way is a flaw. I do not try to clean most vintage items. I recommend that you clean your new acquisition. I do try to note any and all defects or flaws I see that were not original to the item
