Tsumami kanzashi are a traditional Japanese form of hair decoration made from folding squares of fabric, similar to origami. They are most often seen adorning the hairstyles of geisha and maiko (apprentice geisha).
My kanzashi are done using traditional techniques but I like to add a little modern twist here and there. :) I use a much stronger glue than the traditional rice glue so you don't have to worry about your flowers falling apart! That said, however, please handle gently as they can be deformed if squashed for too long.
If it looses its shape, simply spray starch and reshaped the petals.
