Frank Olive Hat black derby small brim gold trim - No 100a
Black round crown, small brim hat from Frank Olive. It has a stylized feather surrounding the base of the crown. I do believe it is a real feather that has been dipped in a paint mixture that allowed it to be shaped to fit around the crown. A wool bow accents the right side where the feather starts. Inside is a faded red grosgrain ribbon sweat band. The label is white with black writing. In the top of the hat there is stamped 100% Wool, Excello, Made in U.S.A. Geo. W. Bollman Co. Inc. Fantastic little hat for a classic look. This was purchased about 1988 at an antique shop in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Another old time beauty.
