ACTOR KRIS KRISTOPHERSON'S 1952 SAN MATEO HIGH SCHOOL YEARBOOK
Another nice collectible for your consideration. You are looking on one(1) 1952 San Mateo High School Yearbook with future actor/singer Kris Kristopherson. This product is for the 1952 San Mateo High School Yearbook (San Mateo, California), titled "Elm." This was the sophomore high school year for Kris Kristopherson, who went to this school. Kristopherson appears in this book at least three. There is no student index. He is shown on the Fosh-Soph Football Team Group photo (page 39); in the Boys Block SM group photo (page 45) and in the 30's Track Team group photo (page 49).
The book is in very good overall condition. The binding and the spine is loose but still attached. There are a lot of signatures throughout the book, but I did not see Kristopherson's among them. The original owner underlined names she knew, including Kristopherson's. The cover itself is still very nice. American actor and singer Kristoffer "Kris" Kristofferson was born June 22, 1936 in Brownsville, Texas. As a singer/song writer. Kristofferson is best known for hits such as "Me and Bobby McGee", "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down" and "Help Me Make It Through The Night."
Kristofferson is the sole writer of most of his songs, but he has collaborated with various other figures of the Nashville scene such as Shel Silverstein and Fred Rumfelt.
Kristofferson began his acting career in 1971, interesting in a movie titled "The Last Movie" as a Minstreal wrangle. From there Kristofferson was made a house hold name with the lead roles Cisco Pike in Cisco Pike (1972) and Billy the Kid in Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1973).
Kristofferson also appeared in: A Star is Born (1976); Songwriter (1984); Millennium (1989); Five Down Below (1997); Blade (1998); Payback (1999); Planet of the Apes (2001); Disappearances (2006); Power Blue (2009); and Provinces of Night (2010); among many others.
