Nice bold signature of this Rams' HOF'er.Former professional football player Jack Youngblood was born January 26, 1950, in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida. Youngblood played NCAA college football at the University of Florida where he was a 1970 All-America and earned a B.S. degree in Finance. He was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the 1st round, 20th pick overall, in the 1971 NFL Amateur Draft, and played with the Rams for 14 seasons (1971-1984). He played in a Rams' team record 201 consecutive games and only missed one game in 14 seasons, that one miss coming in his final year. As the Rams' defensive captain, he was a three-time winner of the Dan Reeves Award given to that team's most valuable player each season and played in seven straight Pro Bowls (1973-1979). Youngblood was also a 5-time all-pro (1974, 1975, 1976, 1978 and 1979) and All-NFC seven times. During his tenure, the Rams played in five NFC championship games and they advanced to Super Bowl XIV following the 1979 season.
