Shown on this magazine page (Autograph Times, May 1998) is House Peters, better known to the world as Mr.Clean. Peters has signed it "House Peters 89" although the 89 is kinda hard to see/read. He signed several items for me that day so I know it is 89.American character actor Robert House Peters, Jr. was born January 12, 1916 in New Rochelle, New York. Peters was most noted for his roles in 1950s B movies and westerns, but best remembered as the face and body of Mr. Clean in the Procter and Gamble cleaning product commercials. Peters spent over 32 years in Hollywood and worked in dozens of movies including Flash Gordon (1936), Batman and Robin (1949), Target Earth (1954), The Great Sioux Massacre (1965) and dozens of television series including Perry Mason, The Lone Ranger, The Gene Autry Show, Gunsmoke, The Twilight zone and Lassie (Sheriff Jim Billings).
