1996 MARVEL & DC OVERPOWER PROMO CARD LOTAnother nice collectible for your consideration. You are looking on one (1) 1996 Overpower Marvel & DC Promo Card Lot. The (2) two CCG promo cards in this product are shown in the photograph below. Lot includes a Black Cat Promo Card to the 1995-1996 Fleer/Skybox Marvel Comics Overpower and a Batman Promo Card to the 1996 Fleer/Skybox Batman Superman DC Overpower. Both cards are in mint, never played condition. Neither card was available in packs. The Black Cat card was only available in Combo Magazine #24, January 1997, released late 1996. It happens to be a pretty cool and powerful card. "ANY POWER", level 5, power card. "R" rating card. Card artwork shows the vixen Black Cat, a.k.a., Cat Burgler, in a ready for action stance. Lightning strikes in the background. The Batman card was inserted into Combo Magazine (#23, November 1996), by Fleer/Skybox Trading cards, to promote their CCG Overpower game, and was not available in packs. THE BATCAVE" is an "ANY CHARACTER" card. It reads: "You may look at top 3 cards in opponents Draw Pile." Card playing notes: (AJ) (H) {X} [OPD]. Card artwork shows Batman running through the Batcave leaving the Batmobile behind him. Other well known Batcave artifacts, the giant Lincoln penny and his neat mechanical T-Rex dinosaur are setting in the background. The T. Rex comes from an adventure on "Dinosaur Island" (Batman #35, 1946); the penny was originally a trophy from Batman's encounter with a penny-obsessed villain named the Penny Plunderer (World's Finest Comics #30, 1947). OverPower is a collectible card game manufactured by the Fleer/Skybox originally featuring characters from Marvel Comics and later from DC Comics and Image Comics as well. The game was initially launched in August 1995. In the game, two players go head-to-head with teams of four heroes and villains. Unlike most other collectible card games of the mid-1990s, OverPower was very distinct strategically and structurally from Magic: The Gathering (MTG). Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
