Here is a great antique piece of Diamond Point pattern glass, the footed creamer with the applied handle. Early American Pattern Glass offers a value of $175.00 for this piece.
I've tried to capture the handle at various angles and as you can see, this is a substantial piece of glass. For comparison, I have included a picture of the more contemporary version, by Indiana Glass.
The price here is significantly reduced because of three chips on the top surface of the footer. These are not obvious to the naked eye at first glance and could probably be professionally repaired if desired, but these are not fleabites, they are actually flaked chips.
The rest of the piece appears to be perfect, I cannot find any other cracks or damages.
For a collector of this pattern, or someone who has an interest in pattern glass in general, this is an excellent find.
