The Black Arrow, A Tale of the Two Roses by Robert Louis Stevenson, illustrated, copyright 1888 by Charles Scribner's Sons. This edition is a 1915 author's edition. This is considered a historical adventure/romance novel. The main character, Richard Shelton, fights in the Wars of the Roses, he becomes a knight, saves his lady and gets justice for the murder of his father. This book was a library book at one time. It does have the library stamps on the inside covers and the library tag on the spine. The book does need to be repaired. The repairs will need to be made along the spine on the inside of the book both front and back. The spine corners show wear. There is an open tear on the spine it is located at the top & bottom. On the back cover the corners are bumped and show the board underneath. The edges of the cover show wear and the board underneath is showing in a couple of places. There is a faint water mark (line) starting at the front and going until page 29, it is mostly located on the middle part of the long page edge. Some of the illustrations do have smudges on them, there are also smudges on some other pages as well.
