Marabou Brushes are much better than hackling with blood quills. No need to prepare the feather by pulling off the unusable fibers at the thick end of the quill. No need to preen fibers away from the tip of the quill to prepare a tye-in in point. Remember how quills wrap? One turn and the weak tip of the quill breaks off so you can start over. With a blood quill, a few turns and the quill gets so thick that it gets difficult to wrap. A Marabou Brush is much more convenient than blood quills. The wire wont break when you wrap and is similar in diameter to the tip of a blood quill. Whether the fly calls for just one turn of marabou, multiple colors of marabou, or getting the most marabou on a fly that is physically possible, Marabou Brushes are the very best way to apply marabou on any fly.
