This half dollar type set consists of a Walking Liberty, Franklin, 1964 Kennedy and a 40% Silver Kennedy Half Dollar. They represent the last 4 Silver Half Dollars struck by the US Mint. The Walking Liberty Half Dollar was issued between 1916 and 1947. The Franklin Liberty Half Dollar was issued between 1948 and 1963. The 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar is Only 90% silver Kennedy struck by the US Mint for circulation. All three of these issues weigh 12.5 grams of .900 fine silver, with a diameter of 30.6 mm .. a net silver content of .36169 ounces. The last coin .. the 40% Silver Kennedy Half Dollar was struck between 1965 and 1970 with a weight of 11.5 grams created out of an outer layer of .800 fine silver and .200 copper bonded to an inner core of .209 silver and .791 copper. It has a diameter of 30.6 mm and a net silver content of .1479 ounces. The coins in this Half Dollar type set are in circulated condition; dates and mint of our choice. Each will be presented in an airtite holder with protective black ring.
