Vintage Borghese cast plaster lidded box floral flowers gilded red label

This is a very pretty vintage Borghese cast plaster lidded box with a floral theme on top and gilded leaves surrounding the sides of the box. Borghese made items in a deliberately distressed finish to mimic years of age and weathering. The box is structurally in excellent condition. There are some wear spots on the underside area of the lid edge where the plaster is showing, but it is not too bad. See the pics. The top has some tiny surface imperfections. It is hard to say if this is part of the deliberate distressed look or not. There again, it is not bad and the flowers look good. The bottom has black felt and a red and white Borghese label. It is 3" X 4" X 2" high. The inside is painted robin's egg blue. Very lovely item.
