It stands 4.5" and depicts McGwire sitting atop a baseball that says BOYDS 2000 with a paw print.!Stamped on the bottom is #25717, 4E/1874 and 1999. Boyds Bears began as a small antique shop in rural Boyds, Maryland in 1979. Each piece is conceptualized and sketched by G.M. Lowenthal and then the sketch is translated by the master sculptor into a 3-D clay which is reworked and revised many times before getting the final approval to be cast. The original cast then spends many hours with G.M. and the master painter who together develop the colors unique to each piece. This piece wasmade in a edition of 3600and has been retired. Itis in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and comes in the original box with COA. It will make abeautiful addition to any collection.For your favorite Baseball fan!
