Splendid antique and historical map reproduction, which was created in 1800 by Peter Oxholm (1753–1827), also known as Peter Lotharius Oxholm, who was a Danish army officer and governor-general of the Danish West Indies from 1815 to 1816.
IT DEPICTS: One of a kind and rare cadastral map of St. John depicts the animal mills and windmills / wind mills and the names of the sugar estates / plantations. It does not list the names of the landowners. On the upper left hand corner, there’s a summary of a census. This map is a must for any genealogist, historian, or St. John lover!
