It measures approximately 5 1/4" in diameter with an attached 4" curved handle that fits perfectly in your hand as the thumb opens the lid. There is very little tarnishing or any other signs of wear. The maker's signature is on the bottom, as well as the # 104. (Please see photo) The hinged lid is designed similar to a pie top with a pinched scalloped outer edge and creases in the center area. It has an elegant thumb press that is made of a twisted copper. The curved handle is also solid copper. (1/6") As a collectible, this Hammered Copper (Solid) Ash Holder just can't be ignored.
