The chocolate color of the glass is perfect. All images and lettering in this dish are raised glass and not merely a painting ordecal type of design. There is a hobnail pattern completely around the entire 1/2" rim of the bowl. On the inside longer edges of this piece there is a saying, which starts on one of the long sides and finishes on the other. It is "Loves Request is Pickles" On each of the ends on the inside edges is a pair of crossed vegetables of some sort. (Not really sure what they are) On the inside bottom of the dish is a woman completely framed by a tight bead design.
