Set of six coasters with holder, handcrafted using tikuli art. A perfect gifet for the holidays.
Tikuli or bindi is an ornament that women in India wear on their foreheads. Tikuli art, an 800 year old art form from the state of Bihar, is based on the process of manufacturing tikulis. Tikulis were originally made on thin sheets of glass by tracing fine lines using natural colors on them and then embellishing them with gold foil and jewels. Today, this art is applied on hard board with enamel colors to create coasters and wall hangings.
The coasters are heat and waterproof. They look colorful and beautiful and make a great gift for giving or for your own use.
