Some Dell Dimension 4700 Desktop Computers came with the JMC DATECH 9238-12HBTL-A Case Fan as Original Equipment and as Direct O.E. replacement on certain upgraded 4700 machines.
*Also, some select Dell computers came equipped with 92mm x 32mm and 92mm x 38mm fans with 5-pin / 4-wire connectors on upgraded models.
This fan for sale has a Dell 3-pin/3-wire connector. Also, check the wire colors and their respective positions in the Dell 3-pin plug on your old fan compared to the new one you are contemplating on purchasing. The typical wire color order for the Dell 3-pin plug is (latch facing you) white, red and black.
However, if the white and red wires on your old fan plug are (red, white and black) reverse, then the wire positions on the new fan plug will need to be swapped out to match the old one. This was a revision from Dell on their select upgraded systems. Neglecting to make this change will result in component and system board failure. If you are unable to perform this modification, please contact us to make the change for you before shipment. There is no charge for this service.
