This is a well-developed history of polo, from its ancient beginnings to modern times, with beautiful photographs of the game in action. The authors describe in detail the international set of people involved in polo, dwelling on the groupies and famous people who follow the game (of whom there are many photos, as well). This is a Nice Picture Book! Glossy COLOR and B/W history of the game, primarily in Great Britain, but with one chapter on American polo.
Libraries with equine interests, or wide-ranging sports collections, should get this book!
