This mint 18" x 24" ad slick poster was originally produced by manufacturers of "Superpowers" and DC Comics merchandise back in the early 80s and was to be used as a guide or model sheet for each comic character and how they looked from different angles.
Capitol Distributors who was contracted as one of DC Comics' merchandise distributors made this art available only retailers and specialty stores in the 1980s as part DC Comics co-op program where they would share the cost with the retailer for advertising,billboards, magazines, newspapers and television ads. They had very strict guidelines of what their approved characters would look like for books, ads, toys and product packaging. 25 years later, these posters with the approved images are considered highly collectible in today's market. Only few remain of each character.
