1950s Vintage SCRABBLE Turn-Table - Carrom Industries
Description: Here's a nice vintage turntable for Scrabble players, designed to hold a standard-size Scrabble board and make it easy for players to rotate the board when it's their turn to play. It's made from a stiff composite hardboard which is surrounded by a hard plastic rim. It was manufactured by Carrom Industries of Ludington, Michigan.
The turntable comes in its original corrugated cardboard shipping box, which indicates it is a "standard model". The board is marked "M-K" on the top and "300A" on the bottom.
Size: approx. 20.5 diameter, accommodating an approx. 14" x 14" Scrabble board.
Date: The board itself isn't marked, but the original shipping label on the back of the box has a date of November, 1954.
Condition: Very good, I'd say. The turntable is used but shows minimal wear. It rotates easily. The only notable issues are a slight discoloration near the center where a piece of adhesive tape was once attached, and the absence of one of the four rubber feet on the base. The original shipping box is still solid, but has a couple slightly crushed corners, along with several old strips of packaging tape along the edges and back center. (Please see photos.)
**NOTE**: Shipping charges are discounted when more than one of my items are purchased at the same time. See what else I have to offer!
