The Superman Syndrome

As pastors and Christian leaders, we are not called to lead because we have super-human powers. We are called because we have been saved by the same grace we teach. We have endured trials, temptations, and triumphs just like everyone else. We love, serve, and lead best when we are real-when we take off the ministerial masks and allow others to see grace at work in our own lives through our weaknesses, our wounds, and our worship-a testimony of leadership through grace.
