NORLAND SPEED TERM is an intelligent terminal software package which takes advantage of a little recognized fact that most modems made today, though rated at a fixed baud rate such as 300, are capable of better bauds. Yet, selectible baud rate terminal programs have fixed increments such as 300 baud, 600 baud, and 1200 baud. But few, if any, 300 baud modems are capable of reaching 600 or 1200 baud. NORLAND SPEED TERM offers fully variable baud rates that allow you to take your present modem and stretch its baud rate limits. The POCKET MODEM from BOT Engineering, for instance, can actually reach 550 baud. Faster baud rates can increase the amount of data transferred in a given time period - and lower your phone bill. NORLAND SPEED TERM is a small investment that will get you a far better baud. NORLAND SPEED TERM is for Commodore 64 and Commodore 128 (in C-64 mode).
