Description: Here's a nice and informative fold-out brochure describing the San Luis Unit of the Central Valley Project in California. The primary components of this unit are the San Luis Dam and Reservoir, an off-stream water storage facility between Gilroy and Los Banos. The brochure was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation. The brochure provides an overall description of the project, the reasons for its creation, and a history of the construction of its various components. It includes photos, a couple maps, and an assortment of facts and figures.
