"A 'fantastic and horrifying' novel in Hughes's most mechanical vein. One of his worst." - Harbottle and Holland. Shallow chip from upper spine end, else a fine copy. Scarce. Price: $150.00". So apparently, this is very Scarce!!!
"LEE STANTON'S THE MUSHROOM MEN FROM MARS" - 1951 - GD! From John Knott Booksellers: "First edition. Authentic Science Fiction Series [No. 1]. "The thing which emerged from the machine was like nothing so much as a huge purple-green mushroom, about five feet in height. The creature had a short, stubby stalk, topped by a thick fleshy cap or dome. The dome was covered with green fibrous threads and round the edge ran a sort of fringe of tentacles about an inch thick." Wear to spine ends with some loss to lower spine and lower left front corner, a good copy. Called by some uncommon. Price: $45.00. Again, not that easy to find!
