Sweet Sultan Flower Seeds.
Sweet Sultan is an old-school, super fragrant variety that hails from the Mediterranean and southwest Asia. The ‘Imperialis Mix’ features a blend of mauve, pink, and white blooms. It reaches a height of 2-3 feet and is great for cutting. Plus, it's easy to grow.

Sowing: Since Sweet Sultan seeds don’t do well when transplanted, the best way to plant them is by direct sowing. You should sow them 2-3 weeks before the last frost, burying the seeds about 1/4" deep. Alternatively, you can keep the seeds in the fridge for 2-3 weeks and then plant them after the last frost; if you’re planting in the fall, just sow them directly in late fall for growth in early spring. You can expect germination to happen in about 14-20 days.

Growing: Make sure to keep the soil consistently moist, but avoid overwatering the Sweet Sultan seedlings. Amberboa moschata loves full sun and prefers dry to well-drained soil. Be careful when watering the plants to keep the leaves dry; too much moisture on the foliage can lead to diseases. The Sweet Sultan plant thrives in cold climates and can also handle heat and drought. Plus, the flowers are great for attracting bees and butterflies.

Harvesting: If you’re looking to cut flowers, do so just as the blossoms start to open. They’ll stay fresh for about 6-10 days. Sweet Sultan flowers are also fantastic for drying.

Seed Saving: Let the blooms fully mature and dry out on the stem. Once they’re ready, cut the heads off and lay them out to dry away from direct sunlight. Gently rub the Sweet Sultan seed heads to separate the seeds from the husk. The small, oblong seeds will have a feathery tuft on one end. Store the seeds in a cool, dry spot.
