Rochelle Steiner, a renowned curator, writer, and leading figure in contemporary art, has been appointed as the dean of the USC Roski School of Fine Arts.
Previously serving as the director of the Public Art Fund in New York from 2006 to 2009, Steiner has overseen the creation of 35 public art projects in collaboration with both established and up-and-coming artists from around the world. Among her notable projects is Olafur Eliasson’s The New York City Waterfalls, a highly ambitious public art installation. Steiner has also held curatorial roles in prominent museums in the United States and London, and she currently works as a consultant for the Miami Art Museum.
