Vintage Carved Soap Stone Monkey Ink Brush Wash See Speak Hear No Evil Toothpick

One edge of one piece is worn. I’m thinking if it was used as a calligraphy brush washer then artist may have used the edge to pull off water from washing. These were brought back from china in the 1940s by my friends father.
