Here is a find! Although used, this is a rare vintage 1st Edition copy of the classic 1948 cookbook titled..... Charting Your Courses The Newport Cook Book Recipes from Newport Homes and Famous Rhode Island Easting Places.
Please see ALL the pictures!! This wire bound cookbook is in used condition but still good. Used because the owner use the front and back covers as their memo pad ---faint names, numbers and notes scribbled all over the front cover and a phone number on the back cover (written upside down on the cover.) INSIDE, the pages show a little foxing from age, and a few small and faint splash stains on a few pages, but all and all, the pages are at least 97% free of marks, stains or writing. Just some wear at the tips of the pages from use, storage and re-shelving.

Some line drawings of scenes of historic Newport are the first few pages.
What makes this cookbook so charming is that recipes were written out by hand so there are many different handwriting styles. With the added little drawings, it makes the cook fun. But the ADS in the back of the cookbook are fun! (See ALL the pictures!)
