Musical German Beer Stein not working Trink Trink Bruderlein Trink

Vintage German stein, musical but the music part is not working. The tune is suppose to be Trink Trink Bruderlein Trink. The rod to activate the music when the stein is lifted is missing the little knob ob the end. There are no chips or cracks, holds liquid as it is suppose to do. The lid works as well. The lid is marked DBGM which somewhat dates the stein, after 1949.There are some manufactures defects on the stein such as minor "white" spots where the paint I guess did not stick when it was applied and dried? The stein measures about almost 9 and 3/4" to the tip of the lid. It weighs 2.4 pounds. Thanks
