Here's a nice advertising card for Chase & Sanborn of Boston, Massachusetts. It shows a bill poster pausing for a cigarette break after pasting up several signs on a brick wall, not only for Chase & Sanborn's coffee, but also for Buffalo Chop Formosa Teas and Brooks Chocolate and Cocoa Preparations.
The back specifically promotes Chase & Sanborn's Java & Mocha Coffee.
Size: approx. 5" x 3"
Date: 1886 Lithographer: Forbes Co.
Condition: Fair, I'd say. The front of the card is only lightly soiled but has a small bit of extraneous paper stuck by the fellow's waist and a few other flecks down around the paste bucket. The back has multiple areas of surface paper loss, along with some light glue residue. The edges and corners are slightly worn. (Please see scans.)
